At a crowded ceremony at the Santiago Bernabeu, Kylian Mbappe was finally revealed as a true Madrid player.
On Tuesday, Kylian Mbappe made his formal Real Madrid player debut. The number nine jersey has been given to the French captain.
Days after Real Madrid defeated Borussia Dortmund in the Champions League final to win their 15th championship, Mbappe’s transfer was officially announced. There were many ups and downs throughout Mbappe’s protracted transfer story, but Florentino Perez, the president of Los Blancos, eventually got his man.
Mbappe will be the newest Galactico at the Santiago Bernabeu, joining the likes of Jude Bellingham and Vinicius Junior. Along with Nacho Fernandez, Luka Modric, and Toni Kroos, who contributed to Madrid’s tremendous success, they will also be leaving.
At the full stadium during the presentation ceremony, Mbappe was quite overwhelmed. “I am especially happy today because my dream of playing for Real Madrid has come true after years of dreaming,” he declared.
“I’m having a fantastic day. My one and only dream since I was a youngster has been to play for Real Madrid. Being there means a lot to me. I appreciate all of the supporters coming to share in this special occasion with me.
“To live up to this club, which is the greatest in the world, is my other desire. For this club, I’m going to sacrifice everything I have.”
Perez greeted his new No. 9 with much affection. “We are happy to welcome Kylian Mbappe, the star who will help us achieve in the future. Twelve years ago, Zizou [Zidane] introduced a child to our training site.
“Greetings from your house, and congrats on realising your goal. I am aware of the significance this has for your family. When you arrived here at the age of 13, we saw how bright your eyes were.”
Although Mbappe prefers to operate from the left flank, Vinicius Jr. is likely to start every game there. In order to accommodate the FIFA World Cup champion as it stands, Madrid manager Carlo Ancelotti must make a change to his starting lineup.
In Europe, Mbappe has not yet achieved success. and with this current transfer, it is anticipated that he will break his lengthy Champions League drought.
